Chandler Police Release Name of Homicide Suspect

CHANDLER, AZ. The name of the suspect in the homicide of Xavier Garcia is Phillip Rene Montoya, a 19-year-old Chandler resident.  Montoya has been charged with first degree murder and attempted 1st degree murder.  The 16-year-old female survivor is still hospitalized in stable condition and continues to improve.
