Man in Stolen Vehicle hits a Police Vehicle

CHANDLER, AZ. On April 3, 2008 at approximately 11:30 A.M, a male subject was driving a stolen vehicle in the area of Riggs Road and Arizona Ave when he sideswiped a Chandler Police Detective’s unmarked vehicle. After striking the unmarked police vehicle, Timothey Terrazas fled in his vehicle. Chandler Police patrol units located the stolen vehicle and were able to spike the vehicle’s tires. The stolen vehicle was disabled on Arizona Ave South of Hunt Highway whereupon all four occupants fled on foot. Patrol Officers were able to take all four suspects into custody without incident. Three of the suspects were juvenile residents of the Gila River Indian Community, 2 male and 1 female. The driver of the stolen vehicle was identified as Timothey Terrazas, a 19-year-old resident of the Gila River Indian Community. Alcohol may have played a factor in the accident. Timothey and the two juvenile males were identified as members of a criminal street gang located in the Gila River Indian Community.
