Fatal Motorcycle Accident

CHANDLER, AZ.  On February 23, 2008 at approximately 0100 hours, a fatal collision occurred on Dobson road at Palomino Street in the City of Chandler.  A motorcycle was north bound on Dobson Road at an extreme speed and collided with a passenger car, which was making a left turn from Dobson Road onto Palomino Street.  As a result of the collision, the driver of the motorcycle sustained fatal injures and was pronounced dead at the scene.  The driver of the motorcycle was identified as twenty five year old Julio Jesus Gonzalez.  The driver of the passenger vehicle was transported to a local area hospital for non-life threatening injuries.  Impairment of the motorcyclist may have been a factor in this collision.  The collision is under investigation by the Chandler Police Traffic Unit.
