Homicide Suspect Arrested

CHANDLER, AZ. On March 1, 2010, at approximately 6:45 AM, Michelle Morales’ son called police to report he received several phone calls at his home from an unknown male subject demanding money or Michelle Morales would be harmed.
On March 1, 2010, neighbors near 328 S. California Street called the landlord of the residence to report a commotion coming from inside the empty home between 5:30 and 6:30 AM. The landlord responded and found a deceased woman later identified as Michelle Morales. Information obtained by police identified Jaime Coronado, a thirty-one year old Chandler resident as the suspect in Morales’ homicide.
On March 1, 2010, at approximately 10:00 PM, the United States Marshall Service Task Force arrested Coronado near Country Club and US Highway 60 in Mesa, Arizona. Physical evidence found on Coronado connected him to the homicide scene. Coronado was booked into the 4th Ave Jail, charged with Murder in the first degree.
